They can’t sign up for library cards yet, but 30 people signed their names to a construction beam today, making their mark on the new Broad Creek Anchor Branch Library.
City and community leaders broke ground on the new library in September and structural steel started going up at the beginning of March. The community was invited to become a permanent part of the library by signing one of the construction beams.
The city’s second anchor branch library (Mary D. Pretlow was the first), the 28,000 square foot Broad Creek library is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
